Chronology of cameras Ihagee
Solid folding camera with a spring actuated bed opening, the Ultrix Ihagee range began his career circa1922, This one, the Ultrix ZC 1460 Ultrix very precisely, as per the catalog of the brand, is dated at the beginning of the 1930s and was quite common. In its medium range version, here with a Compur to 1/250 sec. and a Tessar lens, was a bit less current without being a rarity.
After opening the bed, setting the camera for use is manual. The device, made entirely of leather-wrapped metal, has two viewfinders and a spirit level. The moving mechanism of the bellows is very accurate. The distance indicator, a black plastic screwed part on a chromium plated base, is the most beautiful effect. It shows, facing the distance scale, the focal length which is installed.
The housing has two fastenings for tripod, one on the bed and the other on the baseplate (or the side). The Ihagee brand is stamped on the back, in very large letters. The rotating mask covering the inactinic window (monitoring the progress of the film) is rectangular and guilloche.
